Happy World Nutella Day! Honestly, this should be a national holiday. Over the last 10 years here at Cafe Delites, I have gone through embarrassing amounts of jars to perfect these recipes. I’m talking cases of the stuff.

I’ve tested these batters until they were perfect (and yes, I’ve burned my share of chocolate in the process so you don’t have to). From stuffing it into hot skillets to swirling it into fluffy pancakes, these are the recipes that actually work. Whether you’re a die hard fan or just looking for a sugar fix, welcome to your new bucket list.

What is World Nutella Day?

If you’re wondering why we are celebrating, you can thank American blogger Sara Rosso. She started World Nutella Day back in 2007 because she loved the spread so much she thought it deserved a holiday (honestly, she was right). It became a global phenomenon, and in 2015, she passed the torch to the makers of Nutella, Ferrero, to keep the celebration going.

Now, every February 5th, fans everywhere share their best recipes. It’s the one day a year where eating chocolate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner isn’t just accepted it’s encouraged.

Authentic French Nutella Strawberry Crepes

This is the newest addition to the blog and honestly, my current obsession. I spent time getting the batter exactly right—paper-thin, buttery edges, and holding a dangerous amount of melted Nutella. It’s like being in Paris without the plane ticket.

My Expert Tips for Baking with Nutella

I’ve learned this the hard way, so you don’t have to!

STOP! Read this before you bake:

  • Nutella burns fast. If you need to melt it for a drizzle, do it in the microwave in 20 second bursts, stirring in between. If it gets too hot, it seizes (turns into a hard, chunky rock).
  • Hate digging Nutella out of the measuring cup? Spray the cup with a tiny bit of oil or cooking spray first. It slides right out, no mess, no waste.
  • If a recipe calls for room temperature eggs/milk, don’t ignore it! Cold ingredients will make the Nutella harden instantly when you mix it, leaving you with lumps instead of a smooth batter.

To celebrate this remarkable day….I had-ta share all these beautiful Nutella recipes with ya’ll. Because it’s a speshal day….indeed. Below is a list of all the Nutella craziness on this here blog.

More Reasons to Celebrate.
