Easy Honey Garlic Pork Chops: Key Ingredients
The secret to these Sweet And Savory Pork Chops lies in the ingredients. Fresh garlic brings bold aroma, honey adds a perfect balance of sweetness, and apple cider vinegar cuts through the richness for a beautifully tangy glaze. Simple staples, unforgettable flavor!
- Pork Chops: The star of the dish, these tender, juicy cuts form the foundation of the recipe. Boneless chops cook quickly and evenly, while bone-in chops bring extra flavor and retain moisture during cooking—choose based on your preference!
- Honey: The backbone of the luscious glaze, honey provides the perfect sweetness to balance the savory garlic, just as it does in the Honey Garlic Butter. Its sticky texture ensures the sauce clings beautifully to the pork, delivering flavor in every bite.
- Garlic Cloves: Fresh garlic is a must for its aromatic and bold flavor. It complements the honey perfectly while infusing the dish with depth, taking these chops to the next level.

How To Make Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops: Step-By-Step
Let’s get cooking! With just a few quick and simple steps, you’ll have tender, juicy Garlic Honey Pork Chops smothered in a mouthwatering glaze. Grab your skillet and let’s make magic happen!
- Preheat and Prepare: Start by pre-heating your oven broiler to medium-high. (if you’re using the oven see recipe card at bottom) Pat the Pork Chops dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. This will help the seasoning stick. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside while you prepare the honey garlic sauce.
- Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a bowl combine the honey, garlic cloves, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick). Stir until everything is well combined and the honey has fully dissolved. This sauce will be the key to the dish’s sweet and savory flavor.
- Sear the Pork Chops: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add in the olive oil. When hot, place the pork chops in the pan. Sear each side for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature of the pork should reach 145°F (63°C). Remove and set aside.
- Create the Glaze: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the Honey Garlic Sauce mixture to the pan, scraping any browned bits from the bottom for extra flavor. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
- Coat the Pork Chops: Return the cooked pork chops to the skillet, turning them in the sauce to ensure they are evenly coated. Let them simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes. For extra flavor, grab a spoon and coat some of the glaze over the pork chops as they cook periodically.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once the pork chops are fully coated in the sticky, glossy glaze, remove them from the heat. Serve the pork chops hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or green onions for a touch of color and freshness.
Complete your meal with the perfect side dishes! For a hearty option, pair these Honey Garlic Pork Chops with Fried Rice with Bacon, or keep it light with Cauliflower Fried Rice. Add a splash of green to your plate with Buttery Sautéed Green Beans or Sugar Snap Peas in Five Minutes for a fresh, vibrant touch.

Recipe FAQ’s
Yes, both bone-in and boneless chops work well for this recipe. Bone-in chops tend to be juicier and more flavorful, but they may require a slightly longer cooking time.
Absolutely! Simply replace the butter with a plant-based alternative or additional olive oil for a dairy-free option.
If the sauce reduces too much and becomes too thick, simply add 1-2 tablespoons of water or broth to loosen it to your desired consistency.

A+ as someone that rarely eats pork and does not like pork chops. I cooked for my family and tasted one to keep from having to make a separate dinner for myself. Compliments all around. I did have to add Cornstarch to thicken sauce.
Best pork chops I’ve made at home! Love that it’s quick and easy but still feels special!
We really enjoyed this recipe I did change the vinegar to a honey vinegar it made it a little sweeter I will make it again
This is fabulous! My husband couldn’t get enough of the sauce
Haha, glad to hear you enjoyed the recipe and that the sauce was a winner!
I’ve tried this recipe and it’s absolutely perfect. I’d like to make it again but I don’t have honey. Can I substitute with maple syrup?
Hi Kionna, yes you can definitely try that. The flavour will be a little different.
Tried this and it’s amazing, my husband loves it too, and it’s super simple, I didn’t even use exact measurements and it still came out great.
Hi Dani, glad to hear that you and your husband enjoyed the dish, and it’s fantastic that you found it super simple to make. Sometimes a little improvisation in measurements adds a personal touch!
Fantastic! Best pork chops I’ve ever made and the only way I’ll ever make them again! Thank you !!
Hi Jody, it’s great that the pork chops turned out fantastic for you! Thank you for your kind words, I’m glad to hear that this recipe is a favourite!
Can I get a hell yeah for this recipe. Wow. Took my taste buds to a whole new level. My husband was worried about the taste of honey but that garlic and vinegar blends so well with the honey as just a sweetness. My teenage boys just loved this. Made string beans and homemade Mac and cheese with it. So a couple things, When your cooking the pork I felt like I could have taken at least a minute off the time. It was a tad over for me prior to the broiler. Also I don’t have a med on the broiler but was able to have on high at top rack for 2 mins and it came out like a work of art. This would be great on chicken as well.
I made these last week and my picky kids loved them! They asked me to make them again tonight.
Made the pork roast, it turned amazing!
