Easy Honey Garlic Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops bone-in or boneless
- 1 pinch salt to season
- 1 pinch pepper to season
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar, or any white vinegar
- 1-2 tablespoons water (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven broiler (or grill) to medium-high heat. Season the chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder before cooking.
- Heat oil in a pan or skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Sear chops until golden on each side and cooked through (about 4-5 minutes on each side). Transfer to a plate; set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add the honey, broth, and vinegar. Increase heat to medium-high and continue to cook until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly (about 3-4 minutes) while stirring occasionally. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water if the sauce thickens too much.
- Add pork back to the pan, baste generously with the sauce, and broil/grill for 1-2 minutes or until edges are slightly charred.
- Garnish with parsley and serve over vegetables, rice, pasta, or salad.
Notes
Baked Pork Chops:
- Preheat oven to 390°F | 200°C.
- Sear seasoned chops in a hot oven-proof pan or skillet over medium-high for 2 minutes per side — get them crisp.
- Remove chops and make your sauce following the recipe above (Step 3).
- Baste with sauce and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until you reach your desired doneness.
- Broil/grill for 2 minutes to get those caramelized edges!

It was great but I think time should be equated to the thickness of the chop. At 4 mins mine were a bit dry. I’ll try again with less time.

I made the honey garlic sauce with fresh garlic (squeezed with garlic press), white balsamic vinegar and vegetable bullion with about 4 table spoons water. Let simmer on low until thickened.
Put sauce to the side in glass container.
After seasoning the pork chops; I sauted in cast iron skillet in butter and a little bit of Olive oil for a few minutes on each side.
Then poured sauce over chops and put stove top burner on low and let simmer for 20 minutes on as low as stove top would go.
They turned out tender enough to cut with fork. What a fantastic recipe. It was delicious!!!

I made these in a cast iron pan and stuck the whole thing in the oven to broil. I’m not sure if I was supposed to do that but my whole family loved these! Omg amazing sauce! We added a 1/4 cup of bbq sauce and that brought it up to next level. My kids were literally licking their plates. Put the sauce on our baked potatoes as well. Used chicken stick, minced garlic and rice wine vinegar as well.

This was quick and easy to make. I pounded out the boneless pork chops before searing, then followed the recipe. The sauce didn’t thicken even after 6 mins., so I just went ahead and broiled the chops. Leftover rice from Perloo Chicken was my base and was glad the sauce was still a bit runny as the rice soaked it up. Yumm! I will definitely keep this in my pork chop repertoire.
