Karina Carrel is the creator and owner of Cafe Delites. It all started in 2014 after one recipe went viral and people kept asking for more. From there, she built the site from the ground up, often working late nights on her own, with her young daughter helping film videos. Her Latin roots continue to shape many of the recipes she shares.
Ana, known as Bela (short for Abuela), is Karinaโs mom. Sheโs often behind the scenes, helping with prep in the kitchen or filming when an extra hand is needed. Sheโs been part of the process from the start in her own quiet way. Sheโs always been her biggest supporter.
Tom handles all the serious stuff like contracts, business development, and keeping the Cafe Delites train on the tracks, so Karina can stay in the kitchen. As her consultant, best friend, and official wrangler, his main job is running the show behind the scenes while affectionately annoying her on a daily basis.
Caio is a videographer and video editor from Brazil. He has been working with Cafe Delites for almost two years, creating and editing videos that help bring recipes to life. He enjoys staying active and is passionate about creativity, always looking for new ways to produce engaging, high-quality content.
Daniela works behind the scenes at Cafe Delites, helping shape content and improve how recipes come together on the site. Originally from Costa Rica and now based in Australia, she brings a strong technical background and a detail-focused approach, always looking for ways to make things clearer and easier for readers.
Based in San Francisco, Lorena Masso styles and photographs the delicious recipes here at Cafรฉ Delites. Combining her love for food and art, she brings every dish to life from her small studio. Outside of the studio, Lorena is a true lover of the outdoors with a passion for gardening and beekeeping.
Tom is a chef from France, now based on the Gold Coast. He plays a key role at Cafe Delites, working alongside Karina to test, refine, and develop recipes. Whether heโs behind the scenes perfecting a dish or in front of the camera filming, he brings a hands-on approach and a constant drive to keep recipes innovative and consistent.
Pam is a Copywriter, where she helps shape the voice behind the content. Based in the Philippines, sheโs part of the team driving the siteโs writing and creative direction. Outside of work, she writes fiction, watches movies and TV shows, goes to concerts, bakes, and experiments with makeup.
Based in the Philippines, Trisha is a Graphic Designer at Cafe Delites, where she combines her design expertise with a love for recipe development and food photography. An enthusiastic traveler and baker, she enjoys spending her time outside the kitchen singing and composing music.
