Frozen Strawberry and Mango Margaritas for Cinco de Mayo are officially here. After sharing my classic frozen margaritas a few days ago, so many of you messaged asking if the same frozen margarita recipe would work with fruit, and especially with frozen fruit. The short answer is yes, absolutely.
These Strawberry Mango Margaritas might even be better than the original. Blended strawberries and mango create a thicker, fruitier frozen margarita that’s bright, refreshing, and seriously hard to stop sipping. I honestly couldn’t decide which version I loved more, so I’ll let you be the judge.

What Makes This Recipe So Good
Strawberry Mango Margaritas stand out because they use frozen fruit instead of sweetened mixers, giving you a naturally bold flavor and that thick, slushy texture you want from great frozen margaritas. The strawberries bring just enough tartness to balance the sweetness of the mango, creating a blended margarita that tastes fresh, vibrant, and never syrupy.
This frozen margarita recipe is also incredibly reliable. The ratios are spot on, so the drink blends smoothly every time without watering down, even as it sits. Whether you’re making one glass or a full batch for friends, these Strawberry Mango Margaritas stay cold, flavorful, and perfectly balanced from the first sip to the last.
What Goes Into Strawberry Mango Margaritas

This Strawberry Mango Margaritas recipe uses simple bar staples and frozen fruit to create a thick, refreshing drink with bold flavor and zero fuss.
- Tequila: The backbone of the margarita, tequila adds warmth and structure without overpowering the fruit when balanced properly.
- Frozen Strawberries and Mango: Using frozen fruit creates the signature thick texture of great frozen margaritas while adding natural sweetness and bright flavor.
- Fresh Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice cuts through the sweetness and keeps the blended margarita crisp, balanced, and refreshing.
- Triple Sec or Cointreau: This orange liqueur rounds out the drink, adding depth and a subtle citrus note that ties everything together.
Note: Please see recipe card at the bottom for a full list of ingredients with measurements.
How To Make Strawberry Mango Margaritas

- Prepare The Glasses: Pour the salt onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip into the salt to coat evenly. Set aside, or refrigerate to chill while you make the margaritas.

- Blend The Margaritas: Add the tequila, Triple Sec or Cointreau, lime juice, ice, and frozen fruit to a blender. Blend until the ice is fully crushed and the mixture is thick and slushy. Add more ice if needed, then serve immediately.
Strawberry Mango Margaritas pair best with salty, cheesy, and slightly smoky dishes that balance the sweetness of the drink. For a relaxed party spread, Cheesy Pizza Pull Apart Bread is always a hit. The gooey cheese and crisp edges are perfect for snacking between sips of frozen margaritas.
If you want something with a bit more bite, Pull-Apart Stuffed Bread with Chipotle Carne Asada brings bold, savory flavors that stand up well to a blended margarita. For a lighter option that still feels fresh and festive, Shrimp Avocado Garlic Bread adds bright, garlicky notes that complement the fruity flavors without overpowering the drink.
Tips For Making Frozen Strawberry Mango Margaritas
- Use frozen fruit, always. I’ve tried this with fresh fruit before, and it just doesn’t hit the same. Frozen strawberries and mango give these Strawberry Mango Margaritas that thick, slushy texture without diluting the flavor.
- Go easy on the ice at first. I like to blend everything once and only add more ice if needed. It’s much easier to thicken a blended margarita than to fix one that’s too icy.
- Taste and tweak. Fruit sweetness can be unpredictable, so I always do a quick taste before pouring. A little extra lime brightens things up fast, and a splash more Triple Sec smooths everything out.
- Chill your glasses if you can. It’s a small step, but it makes a big difference. Cold glasses keep frozen margaritas frosty longer, especially when it’s hot out.
Recipe FAQ’s
This usually means there’s too much liquid or not enough frozen ingredients. Add more frozen strawberries or mango and blend again until you reach that scoopable consistency.
This usually happens when there’s too much ice or not enough acid. A quick squeeze of fresh lime juice will instantly wake up the flavors.
Using frozen fruit instead of fresh helps slow separation. If it does start to melt, a quick stir or re-blend brings it right back.
