  • Cottage Cheese: Naturally high in protein. It melts slightly in the air fryer, creating a warm and soft layer over the sourdough that makes the toast extra satisfying.
  • Sourdough Bread: The base for this toast. Sourdough becomes crispy in the air fryer while keeping a slightly chewy centre, adding texture and flavour.

How to Make Them

  1. Spread the cottage cheese evenly over the sourdough bread slice.

  1. Place the toast in the air fryer at 200°C (392 °F) for 8 minutes, or until the cottage cheese is lightly golden on top.

Remove from the air fryer.
  1. Drizzle with chilli crisp oil, followed by hot honey. Enjoy!

This cottage cheese toast is satisfying on its own, but you can easily turn it into a more complete meal by adding something fresh or protein-packed on the side. A light fruit salad with honey and lime works beautifully for a refreshing contrast, especially if you’re serving this for breakfast or brunch.

If you want something more savoury, a side of soft scrambled eggs with a creamy texture pairs perfectly and adds even more protein to the meal.

  • cup cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp chilli crisp oil to taste
  • 1 tsp hot honey to taste
