Pork Chop Recipes
With the popularity of my Seared Garlic Butter Steak & Mushroom Cream Sauce recipe, we’ve received many MANY emails and messages through our Facebook and Youtube channels asking us to cook pork chops in the same sauce! Ladies and gentlemen….our first pork chop recipe and it’s a winner of a dinner!
How To Cook Pork Chops
This recipe promises easy and delivers on that promise. For the best flavour and golden, juicy result, you’re going to sear some pork chops in a butter/oil mixture. This not only promises BIG flavours, but delivers crispy yummy edges. Once your chops are done, you’re then going to sauté the mushrooms with garlic and herbs for even BIGGER flavours. Don’t forget to scrape up any browned bits leftover on the pan from the chops…MORE flavours here.
Wine
You have the OPTION to pour in dry white wine to deglaze the pan. If using wine, use a good quality brand of Pinot Grigio (my favourite). If you don’t want to add wine? No problem! Simply add in the cream, simmer until thickened, then add the chops back in to absorb all of those favours!

- â…“ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
- 1 cup sliced brown mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, divided
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- ¾ cup reduced fat cream or half and half, heavy cream or evaporated milk
Instructions

- Add the chops back into the sauce, allow to simmer for a minute to heat through. Garnish with remaining herbs and serve immediately.

Made this today, didn’t have season salt for chops so used garlic, black pepper, salt, and paprika. I doubled the ingredients for the mushroom sauce. I did add wine into the mushrooms while sauteing, cooked off the alcohol then added about a tsp of flour, and cooked long enough to rid of the flour taste. I added thyme, more of the same seasoning used on the chops, added 1/2 & 1/2, simmered long enough to allow the sauce to thicken slightly, put the chops back in the pan, and wah-lah! It was amazing! So besides doubling the sauce, the only change was what I seasoned the chops with, and the added wine. So simple yet elegant enough to have for the company. Thanks!

This meal is SPECIAL… really tasty and such a crowd pleaser. The recipe was super easy to follow and you don’t need too many ingredients. I used pork loin steaks (which worked perfectly) and served them with mini roasted hasselback potatoes. Truly a restaurant quality recipe, for very little effort! Will definitely be cooking this one again.

Delicious! Made this for dinner and added twice as much chopped mushrooms. Really easy to add more or less salt to this recipe.

I followed the recipe…used a little more than a cup of mushrooms, and my family thought even more would have been great. Turned out yummy and will definitely make again. Thank you!

This recipe is fantastic. I will never cook pork chops on the grill again. Have also tried them in the crock pot and was good, but not as good as this. I did add a bit more half & half because the gravy is so good, I save some for other meals.
