Avocado Feta Cucumber Salad brings a Greek-inspired twist to the classic cucumber salad. Creamy avocado, tangy feta cheese, crisp cucumbers, and red onion come together in a light, zesty vinaigrette that’s as refreshing as it is flavorful. It’s the kind of salad that feels like summer in a bowl, perfect next to a comforting plate of Ravioli in Tomato Sauce or savory Garlic Mushroom Chicken Bites, where its cool crunch cuts right through all that buttery, garlicky goodness.

  • Red Wine Vinegar: Adds just the right amount of brightness to cut through the creaminess of the avocado and feta.
  • Avocado: Brings a buttery, creamy texture that contrasts beautifully with the crunchy cucumbers.
  • Feta Cheese: Salty and tangy, it adds the signature Mediterranean flair that ties the whole salad together.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper
  1. Make the Dressing: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth and combined. This forms the flavorful base that ties all the fresh ingredients together.
Add the cucumber slices, avocado, feta and onion slices into the dressing and toss well.
  1. Assemble the Salad: Add cucumber slices, avocado, feta, and red onion to the bowl, then toss gently to coat everything in the vinaigrette. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, then serve right away for the freshest flavor.

This Avocado Feta Cucumber Salad is incredibly versatile, making it a refreshing side for everything from grilled meats to baked seafood. Its bright flavors bring balance to rich, savory dishes.

Serve it with Greek Chicken, where the zesty vinaigrette complements the herbed flavors beautifully. It’s also perfect next to Honey Garlic Butter Salmon, adding a crisp, cooling contrast to the sweet and garlicky glaze. Or enjoy it beside Beef and Pumpkin Shepherd’s Pie for a lighter side that brightens up a cozy, hearty meal.

Tips For Making Avocado Feta Cucumber Salad

  • Choose ripe but firm avocados so they hold their shape and don’t turn mushy when tossed.
  • If you’re prepping ahead, wait to add the avocado until just before serving. It keeps the salad fresh and picture perfect.
  • Chill the vinaigrette for about 10 minutes before mixing. Trust me, it makes the flavors meld together beautifully.
  • Want extra flavor? Sprinkle a little more feta on top right before serving. It gives that final salty pop that ties everything together.

Recipe FAQ’s

What Can I Use Instead Of Feta Cheese?

Goat cheese is a great swap if you want something milder, or try ricotta salata or cotija for a slightly different twist.

Can I Use Regular Cucumbers Instead Of English Cucumbers?

Yes! Just peel and deseed them first so your salad doesn’t get too watery.

How Do I Keep The Avocado From Browning?

Toss the avocado slices in a little of the vinaigrette before mixing everything together. The vinegar helps keep them green and fresh looking.
