FRENCH TOASTS:
- 1/4 cup liquid egg whites (or 1 whole egg)
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 teaspoon natural granulated sweetener/sugar of choice
- 2 slices of bread
SYRUP:
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon natural granulated sweetener/sugar of choice
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 - 2 tablespoons water (just enough to make it a sauce)
In a shallow bowl, whisk egg whites/egg, milk, juice and sweetener/sugar until combined. Add bread, one at a time, to soak in the orange egg mix.
Press bread down a few times.
Spray a good quality nonstick pan with cooking oil spray and heat on low - medium heat. Cook French toasts until golden brown on both sides.
Meanwhile to make sauce, whisk all sauce ingredients together in a bowl until smooth and lump free.
Place French Toasts onto serving plate and drizzle chocolate sauce over the French Toast.
