Jam Donut Inspired French Toast!

Ingredients

  • FRENCH TOAST:
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C liquid egg whites
  • 1/4 C unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener/sugar of choice
  • COATING:
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sweetener/sugar of choice
  • SYRUP:
  • 100 g cleaned and hulled strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sweetener/sugar of choice
  • 4 tablespoons water (for blending)

Instructions

  • Directions: Beat the egg and egg whites with the milk, extracts, cinnamon and sweetener/sugar in a wide shallow bowl. Soak the bread slices in the mix. Heat spray oil in a frying pan/skillet (I use coconut spray oil) Fry the egg-soaked bread until golden on both sides.
  • COAT: Put the cinnamon and sugar mix onto a plate and press French Toasts down until coated like a sugared doughnut.
  • SYRUP: Cook combined strawberries, sweetener and water on a low simmer until strawberries are soft. Pour into a bullet cup/blender and BLEND!
  • Drizzle alllll over your Donut French Toasts!!
